I, the pet owner, understand and agree to the following policies and terms of service set forth by The Blissful Pup LLC:​

🐾 GENERAL TERMS 

 

1. Health & Grooming Fitness
Pets are accepted for grooming only if they are fit, healthy, and in suitable condition for grooming. Grooming of elderly, infirm, or medically fragile pets will be performed at the owner’s risk. Grooming may reveal pre-existing health or skin conditions, for which The Blissful Pup LLC cannot be held liable.

2. Flea & Tick Policy
All pets must be flea and tick free.
If fleas are discovered during the grooming process, the session will be stopped immediately and you will be asked to pick up your pet.
A flea cleaning fee may apply if infestation is noted.
Ticks, if found, will be safely removed at a cost of $10 per tick.

3. Emergency Care Authorization
In the event of an emergency, in your absence, you authorize The Blissful Pup LLC to contact the nearest available veterinarian and authorize treatment as necessary at your expense.

4. Specialized Services

• Ear plucking is provided only at the owner’s request and if recommended by a veterinarian, provided it causes no pain or discomfort.

• Anal gland expression and de-skunking treatments are not provided and should be performed by a licensed veterinarian.

5. Vaccination Requirements

Proof of up-to-date Rabies and DHPP/DAPP vaccinations is required for all pets.
Non-core vaccinations such as Bordetella and Canine Influenza are highly recommended.
Puppies must have completed their full core vaccine series plus two weeks for full immunity before their first grooming appointment.

6. Pricing, Coat Condition & Time-Based Fees
Final grooming costs may vary based on:

• Coat condition and maintenance frequency

• Grooming duration and complexity

• Presence of matting, fleas, ticks, or behavioral challenges

• Health, age, size, or physical condition of the dog

Appointments that exceed the typical grooming duration for a dog of similar size and coat type will be charged at a rate of $1 per minute, rounded to the nearest 15 minutes.

7. De-Matting & Coat Removal
De-matting or full coat removal may alter your dog’s appearance and can reveal underlying skin conditions.
A de-matting fee ($40–$100) will apply to account for time, tool wear, and additional care required.
By signing this agreement, you acknowledge and accept the risks associated with de-matting, including possible irritation, nicks, redness, or behavioral changes, and release The Blissful Pup LLC from any liability related to the procedure.

💗 SAFETY & BEHAVIOR

 

8. Aggressive or Dangerous Pets
Owners must disclose any history of aggression, biting, or behavioral challenges.
Muzzles may be used when necessary for safety and will not harm your pet.
The Blissful Pup LLC reserves the right to refuse or discontinue services for any pet that poses a safety risk.

9. Accidents & First Aid
While all safety precautions are taken, grooming tools are sharp and minor nicks or irritation can occur.
You authorize Stella Pikios of The Blissful Pup LLC to perform basic first aid if needed.
Any concerns must be reported within 24 hours of the grooming appointment.

10. Parasites
If parasites (fleas/ticks) are found, the session will stop immediately and the full-service fee will apply.
Your dog may return for services once parasite-free and on veterinary-prescribed prevention.

11. Senior & Medically Fragile Dogs
Senior or medically sensitive dogs are groomed with modified handling for comfort and safety.
You understand that grooming can cause stress that may worsen underlying conditions or lead to medical events.
In case of emergency, you authorize emergency veterinary care and agree to assume responsibility for all associated costs.
CPR may be administered at the groomer’s discretion.

🌿 APPOINTMENT POLICIES

 

12. Scheduling & Timeliness
Appointment durations vary based on coat, comfort, and condition.
The Blissful Pup LLC is a crate-free studio; therefore, prompt pickup is essential.
A late pickup fee of $1 per minute (rounded to the nearest 15 minutes) will apply after 15 minutes beyond the notified completion time.

13. Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
Please provide at least 48 hours’ notice for any cancellation or reschedule.

• Cancellations within 48 hours will incur a 50% fee of the estimated service cost.

• No-shows or same-day cancellations will incur a 100% fee of the scheduled service cost.
  Repeat late cancellations may result in discontinued services.
  Fees are due at or before the next grooming appointment.

14. Photos & Social Media
You authorize The Blissful Pup LLC to take photos or videos of your pet for client records, educational use, or marketing purposes (website/social media).
Photos will always reflect your dog respectfully and lovingly.

💳 PAYMENT & BILLING

 

15a. Payment Terms
Payment is due at the time of service.
Accepted payment methods include credit/debit, cash, or Zelle.
Tipping is optional and appreciated but never expected.
Prices are subject to change and reviewed annually (see below).

💫 ANNUAL PRICING REVIEW POLICY

 

15b. At The Blissful Pup LLC, pricing is reviewed once per year with care and transparency.

This allows us to continue providing the level of quality, education, and safety your pets deserve.

Annual reviews take into account:

• Continuing professional education and advanced certifications

• Upgraded comfort and safety tools

• Premium, science-based grooming products

• Rising costs of goods, supplies, and operational overhead

• Ongoing salon maintenance, sanitation, and environmental enhancements

Any adjustments will always be communicated in advance and reflected clearly on the website and booking confirmations.

This ensures that your pup’s care remains consistent with the highest standards of professionalism, safety, and well-being — and that every visit continues to reflect the exceptional experience you expect and your dog deserves.

🌸 ADDITIONAL TERMS

 

16. Satisfaction & Pet Comfort
Every effort is made to meet your desired outcome; however, your pet’s comfort and emotional well-being are the priority.
Grooming is performed to the extent that is safe, accepted, and appropriate for each individual dog.
Full payment is required even if services must be modified due to behavior, stress, or safety concerns.
Any feedback or requests for adjustment should be submitted within 24 hours of the appointment.

17. Transportation
If transportation is ever requested or provided, you release The Blissful Pup LLC from all liability related to transport, including injury, damage, or loss.

​

18. Accessories
Owners are responsible for ensuring that any accessories (bows, bandanas, etc.) are safe and properly fitted.
Supervision is required while dogs wear accessories at home.

🕊️ AGREEMENT & ACKNOWLEDGMENT

 

You authorize this agreement to remain valid for all current and future services with The Blissful Pup LLC.

This agreement supersedes all previous versions and may be updated as needed to reflect evolving safety standards and best practices in care.

By scheduling, confirming, or receiving services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms outlined in this policy. A physical signature is not required for this agreement to be binding; acceptance of services constitutes acceptance of these terms.

You agree to hold The Blissful Pup LLC, its owner, and representatives harmless for any accident, illness, injury, or loss occurring during or after grooming services.
